Greenland’s Prime Minister Mute Egede criticized US President Donald Trump on Monday for failing to show respect to Greenlandersnovo888, particularly since his renewed push to incorporate the mineral-rich Arctic island into the United States. Egede emphasized that Greenlanders deserve respect, something he believes Trump has not provided since taking office.

“We deserve to be treated with respect, and I don’t think the U.S. president has done that recently,” Egede said to Reuters. “The recent actions of the American president have caused people to distance themselves from the U.S. more than they might have in the past.”
